Weigh In #34

I'm continuing the "Freedom Friday" theme again this week. A couple of weeks ago, I pointed to a fellow named John Burger who works as an abolitionist. He is dedicated to, and working for, the freedom of enslaved people.

John linked to an incredible story about a 61 year old woman in Nepal who has created and runs a "safe house" for those rescued and freed from the sex trafficking going on in her country. The woman, Anuradha Koirala, has an amazing story and, more to the point, and incredible heart for the victims of the sex trade in her community. Go on over to John's site and read more about her or go see what CNN has to say about this amazing woman.

Also, please jump over to John's site and find out ways that you can help fight human trafficking.

On the local front, today was a weigh in day. So I stepped on the scale and saw

249.0

Ever closer to the goal. And a few more dollars into the donation bucket for Love146.org.

Check back next week for another Freedom Friday post.
